Licensed Dental Assistant
“I like to organize things”
Jodi has a Dental Assisting Diploma from Central Lakes College in Brainerd, MN. She has been in the dental field for over ten years and has been a vital member of the St. Francis Dental team since 2009. She chose dentistry because she loves working with people and helping patients. She is nitrous and CPR certified. She wants to make every patient’s experience at St. Francis Dental a pleasant one.
Jodi and her husband James have two children, Jamison and Jaden. They also have a dog named Pete. Outside of work, Jodi and her family love to fish.
Something you may not know about Jodi is that her favorite movie is “Super Troopers.” She is also a fan of the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Wild. Jodi likes to give back and every year she participates in Kickball For A Cure and Give Kids A Smile. Her long-term goal is to travel each year to one of her destination spots.

Tammy joined St. Francis Dental in 1999, and attended the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Over the years Tammy has worked in several different dental offices, but believes St. Francis Dental offers a unique and comfortable atmosphere. With over 20 years of experience, Tammy has seen patients grow from being self-conscious and nervous about their smile to feeling secure and confident. She loves helping people understand dental terms as well as options to improve their dental health. Overall, she just loves to see people smile.
Tammy is married and has two daughters. Outside of work she likes the outdoors, going to softball games, gardening, fishing, and traveling. One thing you may not know about Tammy is that she has always wanted to go deep sea fishing and dreams of someday bringing home a big blue marlin that her husband can hang on their wall!
Registered Dental Hygienist
“Listen, be encouraging and practical”
Carla has been a team member at St. Francis Dental since 1991. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist with a degree from the University of Minnesota. She keeps herself up-to-date with what is current in dentistry, and enjoys educating patients in maintaining oral health. She loves working with patients and building trust with them.
Carla has been married for 37 years. She and her husband have three adult children. Outside of work Carla enjoys spending time with family and traveling. One thing you may not know about Carla is that her favorite travel locations are Grand Marais, Minnesota and Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.
“Making people feel at ease while here at the dental office”
Sonya has been a team member at St. Francis Dental since 2014. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Minnesota. Sonya enjoys teaching patients about how the mouth can affect the human body. Sonya keeps up-to-date on education courses and shares this with her patients.
Sonya and her husband have three children ranging in age from 2 to 9 years old. They also have a black lab named Buddy. Outside of work, Sonya and her family love to camp, fish, boat, and ATV. One thing you may not know about Sonya is that her favorite sports team is the Minnesota Wild.

Mandy has been a team member at St. Francis Dental since 2011 and has worked in the dental field for more than 17 years. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Minnesota. She is certified in providing nitrous oxide and local anesthetic. Mandy enjoys helping and building relationships with patients. She loves the reward of seeing patients receive a beautiful smile.
Mandy and her husband Todd have been married for 12 years and have two sons. They also have a dog named Miley. Outside of work, Mandy and her family love to ride bikes and stay active with sports. They are big hockey fans and love the Minnesota Wild. One thing you may not know about Mandy is that she loves to watch “Shark Week!”

Julie originally joined St. Francis Dental Care in 1996 and came back in February 2015. She started her dental career in 1983 as a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant and made the change to the business office in 1992. Julie strives to take the anxiety out of the financial and insurance end of your visit with us.
Julie is married and has 2 grown sons, 2 dogs and a cat. Outside of work Julie enjoys gardening, music, the outdoors and reading.
One thing you may not know about Julie is she loves antiques and the stories behind them.

Kara got her start in Dental Assisting by volunteering at the Air Force Base Dental Clinic and fell in love with it. When she moved back to Minnesota she went to school to receive her diploma. Kara has been assisting for over 20 years and joined the St. Francis Dental Care team in 2015.
Kara has been married to her husband Mike for 25 years they have a 17 year old daughter an 11 year old son, a dog, a bearded dragon and a number of fish.
Kara enjoys camping, hiking and spending time with her family.
Something you may not know about Kara… she loves to make homemade soaps and lotions.
